The inmyskin Project, now presents a chat with tiffany:
one: what is your name and where are you located ?
T - My name is Tiffany and I am located in Houston, Texas
two: what do you feel is your calling in life ?
T - I feel that my calling in life is to make an impact in the lives of both children and youth.
three: when did you realize your self-worth and how has this journey of self-discovery been for you ? what have you learned the most about yourself ?
T - It actually took me awhile and sometimes even now I have to remind myself of not only who I think I am but who God says that I am because after all it was he that created me. I have learned more than anything that I was born to stand out. Due to this I may not be as popular because of the things I choose to do and not to do and even the path that I am currently walking on in terms of purpose. A lot of people don't understand but that doesn't mean that I will stop doing what I'm supposed to do because you don't understand or are in your feelings. This isn't about you and neither is it about me.
four: how has your struggles helped you to become a better woman ?
T - Overall I would say that the struggles I have endured have helped to develop me into the woman I am today. It was by no means easy and at times I did not think I would overcome some of the struggles that I have had. However, thankfully I am here and because of what I have endured I am stronger, and wiser, I have grown.
five: who or what motivates you to create ?
T - God, children and youth motivate me to create to have different ideas and inspiration.
six: what is your long time passion in life ?
T - My long time passion is to reach all the children and youth that I am destined to reach. To help them all realize who they are and that they are a lot more powerful and important than they think they are. They have a purpose.
seven: if you could give any tips or advice to the young girls and women around the world who suffer with loving and accepting who they are, what would you say ?
T - The truth is it's often easier to find things we dislike rather than like about ourselves. Regardless of what you see in the media and even what surrounds you embrace who you are. Their will never be another person that will walk this earth who is an exact replica of you. You look the way you look for a purpose. God makes no mistakes and he sure didn't start with you.
eight: what do you feel needs to be told to our beautiful women of color ? do you feel that us women of color hear those words often ? if not, what can we do as a community to change that. . .
T - As a community we can be more supportive of each other. Somewhere along the lines a lot of ties were broken and because of that instead of building each other up we tear each other down. We have to stand together, encourage one another and love one another.
